Tropical cyclones form over warm waters from pre-existing disturbances. These disturbances typically emerge every three or four days from the coast of Africa as "tropical waves" that consist of areas of unsettled weather.

As November comes to a close, it’s never too late to start thinking about your plan for the next hurricane season. Since December finds the season in the distant future it’s a great time to begin long-term preparation such as conducting a household inventory. By making a list of everything you own it could help you prove the value of your possession if they are damaged or destroyed in a hurricane or resulting natural disaster. This will make it easier for insurance companies to pay you back fast and fairly for your losses and provide documentation for the tax deductions claimed.
